School Leadership
MICHELLE MUELLER
Mrs. Mueller was born and raised in the Fox Valley where she attended Kimberly High School and earned her Bachelors of Science in Education at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She also earned her Adult Basic Education certificate before completing her Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership at Marion University. After graduation, she began her career in education serving as a middle school math teacher in the private sector. She then taught adult basic education courses for the Wisconsin’s Department of Health and Family Services. When one of Wisconsin’s first virtual charter school launched in 2002, Mrs. Mueller joined Appleton Area School District and Wisconsin Connections Academy. First as a teacher and now as principal, she’s helped the school grow to serve students in grades K–12 throughout Wisconsin. Mrs. Mueller appreciates the unique benefits of online schooling: “I love working at a virtual school. I enjoy making sure that every child is supported, whatever the situation. Of course I'm not alone here. WCA has what I think is the best group of teachers I’ve ever worked with—many whom have been teaching here for years. And that dedication and love of what they do translate into success for all of our students.”
